Welcome to Saint Bede's of Tucson

StBedes_church St. Bede's is a Christian community that emphasizes the authority of Scripture, reverent, Biblically informed worship, and fellowship that is caring, supportive and challenging.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, authoritative in matters of faith and morals, and we interpret the Bible in light of the historic teachings of the Church; 'what has always, everywhere, and by all been believed'. In addition to the teaching and study of the Word of God, we place great value on the celebration of the sacraments ordained by Jesus to be both a memorial and a means of grace to His people. All are welcome to attend our services, and we invite all baptized Christians to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion with us.

We are located at 1135 W. Ina Road, Tucson Arizona (see map).Worship services begin at 9:30 A.M every Sunday. Holy Communion and Morning Prayer are celebrated on alternating weeks. Our weekly Bible study is held on most Sunday's at 11:30 A.M., after a time of fellowship in the parish hall. Currently we are studying the 39 Articles (which can be found in the back of the Book of Common Prayer). You can find a more complete schedule of upcoming events on our calendar

Bring your questions here!

Wednesday Night Bible Study:

Upcoming Seminars

It is imperative that we as Christians regain a commitment to the development of the mind as an integral part of the life of discipleship. In particular, we need to be able to engage in public discussion in a much more powerful way than has been the case in recent Christian history, at least in the U.S.

There are two upcoming seminars planned:

  • "Ethics" on Saturday, June 7th (9 AM to 4 PM).  The book "Beyond Bumper Sticker Ethics" by Steve Williams will  be used.  (Copies will be available, if you don't have one.) Lunch is provided.

  • "The Philosophy of Science and Religion" on Saturday, July 12th (9AM to 4 PM).  The book "The Structure of the Scientific Revolution" by Thomas Kuhn will be used.  Lunch is provided.

For more details on these events, please contact Father Taranto.
